RBC Bank, based in Raleigh, acquired a holding company comprised of ten banks in four different states. Each with a different name and market footprint. There was a little geographic overlay, but most people didn't know RBC Bank at all. So we added a new twist to our communications: event marketing. We ran a "Giant Acts of Kindness" campaign, using a branded van and event team to hand out water to runners, coffee to commuters, biscuts to dogs, pizza to firehouses. It was a great way to introduce RBC Bank to all its new neighbors.
