Depending upon the campaign or assignment it may be in a managerial, hands-on, or support capacity. When things get tough, this is the group that makes it all look easy.

Constance McCabe

Creative Director/Founding Partner

Big-picture thinker who can put her finger on exactly what needs to be done. That's Connie. She oversees all things creative. After stints at Young & Rubicam and Ogilvy Direct in New York, Grey Direct in New York and Minneapolis, and starting up the direct group at Ingalls in Boston, Connie teamed up with partner Chris Duval to found McCabe, Duval + Associates in 1988. With more than 30 years' experience as copywriter and creative director, Connie's greatest skill is to connect strategy with brilliant, results-oriented creative.

Connie has recently developed a passion for shoes — now that designers offer 3-inch stilettos in faux leopard and sky-high platforms made from recycled computer and TV monitors. Viva vegan footwear! And yes, photography's been a hobby for a long, long time.

Christopher Duval

President/Founding Partner

Make the seemingly impossible, possible. And make it easy and headache-free for our clients. That's just the beginning of Chris Duval's approach to success. As president of the agency, Chris draws upon his depth of planning and strategic experience to help clients build relationships and sales with their customers. From banks to high-tech companies, large insurance companies to fast-food chains, and lots of categories in between, Chris has done it all. He teamed with Connie McCabe to found McCabe, Duval + Associates in 1988.

The harbor view from his office illustrates his favorite pastime, boating. In the summer Chris commutes to work by water any day the weather allows. The hardest part is leaving the boat at the slip and walking the one block to the office!

Paula Bourassa

Account Executive

No problem. It's on its way. You'll have it in an hour. If you've got questions, or need something, you can be sure Paula will take care of it. She's spent the last 15 years in account management, 10 of them at one of the largest mail houses in the Portland area. Prior to that, she was on the other side of the table, managing and buying various marketing services and print at DeLorme. She's especially knowledgeable about direct mail and postage regulation — no small feat, as any direct marketer knows. Paula is a self-proclaimed "mail geek" who loves to talk about data, demographics, and list hygiene. Her enthusiasm is infectious.

Don't let the desk time fool you. Paula's an outdoor enthusiast, with skiing, hiking, rock and ice climbing on her list. She also enjoys the many eating establishments Portland is becoming known for. Then there's Tucker...her pint size companion that is often at the office with her.
